Allan Cooke will be talking about The Tea Trade in the 19th Century and everyone will have an opportunit­y to see examples of china made in Nantgarw. Lions Club of Bridgend: Bridgend Lions are now collecting books in readiness for their 2019 spring Book Fair, as well as DVDs, CDs, Jigsaws and Computer Games.

All donations can be handed in at the Westward Community Centre on Sundays between 10.30am and 11.30am. (Please do not deliver books outside of these hours.) Books can also be delivered to Aberkenfig Welfare Hall on weekday mornings from 11am. Alternativ­ely, call 0845 833 9582 to arrange a collection.
