Optician’s gets an upgrade

-

A MAESTEG optician’s has invested £135,000 into state-of-the-art equipment and additional test rooms.

The reconfiguration at Specsavers Maesteg will mean 90 more eye tests can be performed each week.

It has also funded the store’s first soundproofed audiology room and new state-of-the-art equipment, including a tonometer – a machine that analyses fluid pressure inside the eye to help measure glaucoma risk.

Simon Morris, store director of Specsavers Maesteg, said: “This investment is part of our ongoing commitment to the community and their access to leading sight and hearing care.

“We hope this will encourage people to have regular eye tests, not only because of the state-of-the-art technology, but also our attention to detail and the customer’s experience.”
