Ynysawdre Community Council: Ynysawdre Community Council are running a bus trip to Bristol Christmas Market for residents of Tondu/ Brynmenyn/Ynysawdre on Saturday, December 15. 8 am from Tondu Cricket Club. Leaving Bristol at 5pm.

Tickets cost £2 adults £1 children – book with Mrs Anne Wilkes, Clerk of the Council via email: ynysawdre communitycouncil@ hotmail.com or call 0790 460 4049.

This bus trip is sponsored by Ynysawdre Community Council as a result of a recent public consultation.

The next Full Council Meeting is Tuesday, December 18, 7pm at Ynysawdre Parish Room (opposite Tondu Cricket Club). This is a public meeting and all are welcome to observe proceeding.

There is an opportunity at the beginning of each meeting for anyone to raise local issues that the Community Council may be able to help with.

Wesley Church: Wesley Church Centre Tondu (the Methodist Church) hold their Carol service on Wednesday, December 5 with contributions by Tondu Primary School choir.

On the morning of Sunday, December 9 at 10.30am, there is an all age Nativity and Parade service and there is no service that afternoon.

All are welcome to these events.

Spiritual Healing: Spiritual healing is offered each Tuesday from 6pm7.30pm at the Ynysawdre Community Centre (at the junction of Bryn Road and Heol-yr-Ysgol).

There is no charge for the service but a small donation to help defray expenses is appreciated.
