Carnegie House: Italian Christmas Cookery on Wednesday, December 12 at 6.30pm until 8.30pm. Join Italian chef Saverio for an evening of Italian Christmas cookery. Includes recipe cards and lots of delicious samples for tasting! Tickets £12.

Bridgend and District Local History Society: The society arranges lectures and visits on topics of local interest and other appropriate historical subjects.

Meeting on the second Wednesday of each month from September to April at 7pm, at Carnegie House (The Old Library), Wyndham Street. Membership is £7 per year, payable in September at the first meeting of the session. Visitors welcome with a fee of £2 per meeting.

This month’s talk, on Wednesday, December 12, is by Cheryl Hart and is titled Past Lives Museum and will be followed by Christmas nibbles.
