Wyndham Church: From the Parochial Church Council (PCC), regarding St David’s Church Hall, Wyndham.

For a long while the St David’s Church representatives (PCC) have been deliberating over their two buildings – St David’s Church, and the Church Hall.

With decreasing attendance and giving St David’s can now no longer afford to maintain two buildings.

Sadly, and after much prayer and deliberation the Council decided recently that we should try to sell the church hall.

The St David’s ‘REGEN’ Planning Group has been authorised to oversee the sale of the hall, and to progress the matter further.

Any monies raised from the sale of the hall, will be used to assist in the ‘REGEN’ (the regeneration) of St David’s Church building.

We have drawn up a plan to re-order the West End of the church (the end inside the church, and furthest away from the Dunraven Place main road).

This plan is available for viewing inside St David’s Church.

The plan includes the inclusion of a toilet on the Church premises; the incorporation of a modest kitchen and storage area; removal of the church pews in order to create a reduced church worship area, and also a more open area which will be available for use by the Wyndham and wider communities.

We will be meeting soon with the Architect from Caroe & Partners, and we will discuss and finalize the plan to reorder St David’s.

If you have any queries or comments, you would like to know more, or you would like to see the church and our plans for it, then please contact either of the church representatives below.
