Coychurch WI’s August Day Out: On August 6, some 33 members boarded the coach for their annual summer trip; this year our destination was in beautiful west Wales to Cwm Deri Vineyard, Martlewy, near Narberth.

Enroute we stopped in Carmarthen for a welcome coffee and some retail therapy.

On arrival we made our way to the conservatory with magnificent views over the open countryside and where lunch would be served.

The lunch consisted of a choice of three meats with an abundance of home-grown salads, chutneys, potatoes and the most delicious homemade breads.

There was a choice of three delicious desserts.

While enjoying our lunch we were served various tastings of wines, liqueurs, gins and non-alcoholic drinks – something to suit all palates.

Following lunch and before departure you could wander around the vineyard and visit the shop where there were numerous cheeses, chutneys, preserves, gifts and of course wines and spirits available to purchase.

Everyone had a very pleasant day out and thanks were conveyed to Sandra Davidson for organising the event.
