Mercedes reveals GLB prices
PRICES for the new seven-seat Mercedes-Benz GLB compact SUV will start from £34,200 when the car arrives later in the year.
The range will top out at £45,950 for a GLB 220 d 4MATIC AMG Line Premium Plus and all models in the range will come with three rows of seats with the exception 220 d 4MATIC AMG Line Premium which can be had with five.
That one is priced from £42,200 and the line up starts with the GLB 200 Sport, powered by a 163 hp, fourcylinder petrol engine.
Performance figures for the GLB 200 Sport are 0 to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds, a 129 mph top speed, with fuel economy from 47.1 mpg and emissions from 138 g/km CO2. A 7G-DCT gearbox is standard.
The range-topping GLB 220 d 4MATIC is powered by a 190 hp, four-cylinder diesel engine producing up to 400 Nm for 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds and a 135 mph top speed.
Fuel economy figures and emissions figures for the engine are 51.4 mpg on the combined cycle and 146 g/km of CO2.
Diesel variants – which can be had either with front-wheeldrive or as a 4x4 and come with eight-speed automatic transmissions – are priced from £36,800 and use a 2.0-litre engine with 150hp giving a 0 to 62 acceleration time of nine seconds and fuel figures of 56.5mpg or 51.4 for the all-wheel-drive variant.
Emissions are 133 and 145g/ km respectively.
Standard safety and assistance equipment includes active brake assist, active bonnet, active lane keeping assist, attention assist, speed limit assist, and keyless-go locking and unlocking.
Premium models come as standard with 64-colour ambient lighting, a mirror package that includes automatically folding exterior mirrors and automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, a parking package, including reversing camera and parking sensors, pre-installation for trailer coupling as well as augmented reality navigation with a 10.25-inch infotainment display and 10.25-inch digital cockpit screen.
First models are due to be on the road in December.
