Obscene language is now everywhere

-

THERE has been an appalling increase in the use of foul language which is the hallmark of our present atheistic society.

I never heard a single swear word from fellow pupils in my Pontypridd school days, nor in my following years in the Cardiff College of Art until I was in the army.

It is now customary to hear groups of school children using obscene language in the street from the girls just as much as the boys.

What a change from the stir caused by Clark Gable using the word “damn” in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind.

Obscene language now seems to be compulsory after 9pm on BBC television.

One bright spot is that it has not yet invaded radio programmes. Douglas Davies
