VOLVO’S ALL-ELECTRIC DREAM

-

Volvo plans for half its global output of cars to be fully electric by 2025 and completely so by 2030.

The latest vehicle in that plan is this C40 Recharge, an SUV/coupe that features a high seating position but the sleek design of a coupe.

Power comes from a pair of electric motors and a 78kWh battery that gives a maximum range of 261 miles.

The C40 will go into production at Volvo’s factory in Ghent, Belgium, in the autumn with UK deliveries expected in early 2022.

However, prices have already been announced and the order books are open.

The range starts at £57,400, or £795 per month if you decide to take advantage of Volvo’s subscription service.
