Burger King to open at holiday park

BURGER KING is opening a new restaurant based in a popular holiday park.

The new fast-food restaurant will create 20 new jobs at Trecco Bay Holiday Park in Porthcawl and is set to open later this summer.

Parkdean Resorts is currently undertakin­g a major £3.6m investment in the park which will see a number of facilities upgraded.

Steve Richards, chief executive of Parkdean Resorts, said: “We’re always looking to improve our food and drink offer, and Burger King opening at Trecco Bay will be a great addition for our guests on park to enjoy.

“We know how important the park is to the economy in Porthcawl and take our role as a major local employer very seriously, so we’re pleased to be able to provide more jobs for the community.”

Upon opening sometime in August, Burger King promises to showcase its updated, modern restaurant design at the Trecco Bay resort, using natural materials with a bold colour palette and American prints.

Other new additions at Trecco Bay include a sports dome, a high ropes course, an outdoor climbing wall, and a virtual reality gaming area. The park also boasts a new arts and crafts den and creative activities available throughout the day.
