Can you take up the baton at Gorseinon & District?
GORSEINON & District Brass Band are looking for a conductor.
The band is a relatively new traditional brass band which was reformed about 10 years ago led by Band President, Mr Brian Cousins J.P., Chairman Mr Viv Crahart and Secretary Mrs Sharon Norbury.
There had not been a brass band in Gorseinon for many decades and they are hoping to rekindle interest in brass bands for everyone to enjoy.
The band is certainly growing and new members are always welcome, including those players who have not been playing for some time and who would like to start again.
They have recently formed a junior section, with the help of some funding from Ty-Cerdd, hence the inclusion of Ty-Cerdd on the band logo. The band does not compete and are concerned with improving the standard of playing to ensure that their concerts are entertaining to the general public.
At present the band’s age range goes from 13yrs to 90yrs!

The band rehearses on Thursday evenings, from 7pm, at New Lodge Social Club, Alexandra Road, Gorseinon SA4 4PE.
