Test and trace to contact people who visited bar

OFFICIALS are contacting people who visited a South Wales bar following positive tests from visitors of the premises that day.

Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board’s test, trace and protect staff are contacting people who visited Eden Bar and Lounge in Bridgend on Saturday, July 10, 2021. This comes following reports of “positive coronaviru­s tests for people who were at the premises that day”.

The health board has advised that anyone who visited the bar on that day who is already showing or developing symptoms such as a high temperatur­e, persistent cough or change in their sense of taste or smell should avoid visiting their GP surgery, pharmacy, or hospital.

Those who have been identified as a contact will be notified by the test, trace, and protect team shortly who will provide you with further advice and guidance.

In a series of tweets, Bridgend council said: “Cwm Taf Morgannwg’s Test, Trace and Protect Service is contacting people who visited Eden Bar in Bridgend on July 10 following positive coronaviru­s tests for people who were at the premises that day.

“If you have been identified as a contact, the Test, Trace and Protect team will be in touch shortly to provide you with further advice and guidance

“Anyone who visited the premises on July 10 and who is either already showing or developing symptoms such as a high temperatur­e, persistent cough or change in their sense of taste or smell should avoid visiting a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

“Instead, self-isolate immediatel­y along with any other members of the household, and book a test online at https://gov. uk/get-coronaviru­s-test...... or by calling 119.

“If you require medical advice, telephone your GP and let them know that you have recently visited a premises at the same time as someone who has since tested positive for Covid-19.”
