Work together for a sustainable future

-

I HAVE been waking up at night with deep thoughts about what state our planet is going to be like in next 100 years. The future prospects at present are not very good with global warming issues and our population has more than tripled in the past century, which is something we need to look at controlling before it’s too late.

We need to remove two words from our future plans: growth and greed. It is about time that all the countries in the world came together and agreed an agenda to control population growth and environmental stability for our planet looking forward into the next century. This is something we should do for our children and grandchildren and create a sustainable future that will restrict the climate change problems we are already having to cope with.

We should come together and set up a “Save our Planet” organisation that every country needs to support. Assessment on the correct population figure suitable for our planet should be a priority as we have too many greedy individuals and organisations that are only interested in making growth their priority for getting bigger profits and don’t care about the impact their actions have on the future of our planet.

Our aim for the next 100 years should be to create a world that is something our future human race can be proud of and also look back at our generation for what we have achieved in working together to improve life on our planet.

Please can we come together and have a positive attitude to make this world a lovely place for our families to live in the future centuries.
