Get in touch for ‘Small Business Saturday’

-

THE Welsh Labour MS Huw IrrancaDavies and MP for Ogmore Chris Elmore are calling on small businesses across the constituency to get in touch in the run up to this year’s ‘Small Business Saturday’ on December 4.

The annual, grass roots, non-commercial campaign highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small business in their communities.

On the day, customers go out and support all types of small businesses - in stores, online, in offices, wholesalers, family businesses, local shops, businesses services or small manufacturers. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.

Huw and Chris are keen to help highlight the wonderful diverse products available via the many small and medium sized retailers and service providers in Ogmore.

Huw and Chris have been supporting this campaign for a number of years, and in the run-up to this year’s Small Business Saturday would like local small businesses to get in touch and tell them what products and services they have on offer.

Business owners are also being asked to submit a photograph of their local enterprise if they would like to be featured on social media. In previous years, small businesses have received prestigious awards, from being invited to a reception at 10 Downing Street to winning Bridgend Business Forum’s ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards, amongst others.

If you are a small business owner, then please do get in touch with Huw on 03002007328 / huw. irranca-davies@senedd.wales or Chris on 01656 860034/chris. elmore.mp@parliament.uk
