Craft Fayre At Bridgend Indoor Market: Craft Fayres are planned to take place at the Indoor Market leading up to Christmas.

The next Fayre will take place on Saturday, November 20th and also Friday and Saturday December 10th and 11th.

If anyone is interested in obtaining a stall pop into the market and speak to a very helpful lady Eileen on Cookmate, the Home Brew/Cookery

Bridgend Lions Community Book Stall: The last Community Book Stall will take place on Saturday, October 23. Members of the Lions wish to thank all those at the market for their kind welcome and kindnesses over the past year, enabling them to continue with fundraisin­g for the locality.

A two-day Book Sale will take place at Westward Community Centre at the end of October, ie 29 and 30.

For the time being no book donations are needed until after this event due to lack of storage.

Westward Community Centre: ‘Super Agers’ (Over 50s) Social Section are meeting every Wednesday from 10am-12 noon. Pop in for a cuppa and a natter and meet new friends.

Laleston Gardening Club: A Covid-compliant Christmas Fayre Fundraiser is planned for the November 13 following the same format as last year.

Our President, Margaret Worgan, has made provisiona­l inquiries regarding a venue for a Christmas Dinner, details to follow later.
