Halloween Pop-Up Bakery: Leah Marie Bakes will be back at Mount Pleasant Farm shop with a Halloween pop up bakery offering delicious freshly made treats on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October, from 10am3pm.

Prizes will be given for the best dress, there will be free sweets for children and of course a full, mouthwater­ing range of special Halloween themed treats and bakes.

Leah Marie Bakes will have tasty vegan and gluten free options and will accept card and cash payments.

The pop-up bakery will be inside the farm shop so whatever the weather will be going ahead!

Cefn Riders Annual Fireworks Display: Cefn RFC Junior Riders will be holding its annual fireworks display on Friday, 5th November at Cae Gof playing fields from 6pm.

The club look forward to welcoming families to a fun filled evening.

Hot dogs and burgers will be on sale. The event will be free of charge and open to all in the community.

Disruption To Bus Services: Due to the nationwide driver shortage,

First Cymru Buses Ltd have decided to temporaril­y reduce some of its timetables to try and provide a more reliable service.

Service 63 between Bridgend and Porthcawl via Cefn, Kenfig

Hill, Pyle and North Cornelly has been temporaril­y reduced to every 30 minutes (it is normally every 20 minutes) until 23rd October.

Some of the company’s services will be run temporaril­y by alternativ­e operators.

First Cymru is reviewing staffing levels weekly and has stated it will increase services as soon as new drivers are recruited and trained.
