Lack of religious faith among leaders

-

WE HAVE for the past two years experienced the pandemic of Covid. Now Covid is diminishing we have another fear upon us in the shape of Russia.

History informs us that Ukraine had more than 4,000 nuclear weapons. In 1986 a terrible accident happened in the Chernobyl nuclear power station in northern Ukraine.

This nuclear disaster might just have influenced President Bill Clinton and Al Gore to get Ukraine to give away these nuclear weapons to Russia. The Ukraine government was told to worry more about melting ice caps and rising carbon dioxide, and not Russia.

Ukraine is now facing the consequences. President Ronald Reagan strongly believed in God and asked people to pray for the world. Prayer caused communism to collapse, atheism at that time failed. Christians returned to church and praised God throughout Russia and Ukraine. In these days, the Ukrainians are among the most Christian in the world.

What are we experiencing in the world today? No world leaders are asking us to pray for the world affairs. Sadly, leaders in the West are mostly atheists.

Putin has had his interests in Ukraine since 2012. In 2012 it is recorded that the US presidential candidate Mitt Romney was mocked because he stated Russia would become an aggressive nation. Today, that statement has become a reality.

Putin has allegedly waged cyber warfare on other nations.

Within his own people those who have opposed him have allegedly been secretly shot or poisoned. Putin is accused of killing a planeload of people who set off from Amsterdam airport. Russia already has a significant presence in the Middle East and has been equipping these countries (Syria, Iran) with deadly weapons.

As someone stated: “We are living in the last of the last days.”
