Clenergy EV is a fast-growing company with potential to help us power our way to a more sustainable future with electric vehicles.

Their software allows clients to monitor electric-charge points remotely and make it easier to charge as you travel around Wales and the UK – and the world.

An easy-to-use mobile app is available in multiple languages, including Welsh. The company already covers 2557 charge points allowing vehicles to travel

5,724,132 miles.

The visit also included a chance to see the latest from the UK and world-leading Sony Pencoed team, including the production of the iconic Raspberry Pi.

The Raspberry Pi is a series of low cost, credit-card sized singleboard computers that plug into a computer monitor or TV, enabling people of all ages to explore computing and provides the ability to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python. Sony first began manufacturing the Raspberry Pi in 2012, and as of today, Sony manufacture a Raspberry Pi board every 3.14 (π) seconds.

Speaking after the visit, Huw

Irranca-Davies MS said "Clenergy EV and Sony prove that Bridgend is an ideal place to grow dynamic businesses which can become UK and global leaders, including in sectors which help us decarbonise and fight global-warming. The

Minister has seen first-hand how these local companies and many more are building a powerful reputation for Team Wales, as well as boosting the economy and delivering quality jobs for local people.”
