Mynydd Cynffig WI: We are meeting once again in the Talbot Centre Kenfig Hill.

At our AGM earlier this month we discussed and sorted our walking, scrabble and lunch clubs and went on to discuss our coronation tea on May 9 – members are asked to wear something that included red, white or blue, so watch this space!

We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month, from 2pm-4pm.

You can pop in to meet us – we are a very friendly group and you can have tea and biscuits as well!

Club's members as possible will enter exhibits and support this important annual event.

The club's latest newsletter draws attention to the fact that Margaret Worgan, Club President, is currently making arrangements for the ever popular summer coach trips in June, July and August. Details will follow when the arrangements are finalised.

Anyone connected to the Club will be aware of the themed nights that have taken place at Cliff Cottage in the last few years.

Thanks to the Events Planning

Team (Sue, Sian & Linda), there have been nights featuring Indian, Chinese, Italian and British Cuisine all of an incredibly high standard.

These ladies do not rest on their laurels and on Friday, May 5 there will be a British Pie Night, (the night before the coronation), when there will be a selection of three different pies served with chips and peas, plus a selection of desserts and a glass of Prosecco to toast His Majesty King Charles III.

Apart from these themed nights the Club has hosted a whole series of coffee mornings, afternoon teas and BBQs with another one planned for July 15 featured in the newsletter.
