Kitchen taking its huge sandwiches to a new location
COBBLES Kitchen in Ogmore has established itself as a must-visit and is known and loved for its huge sandwiches, which are packed and loaded to the brim.
Now, it has big plans to expand across South Wales and its first venture will be opening in street food hub Goodsheds in Barry.
Goodsheds is a mixture of street food, bars, independent shops, and local businesses all serving and working alongside each other in shipping containers in the centre of Barry.
Cobbles Kitchen will be opening in Goodsheds from mid to the end of March, bringing their incredibly impressive sandwiches, their delicious pastries, and more.
Speaking about the expansion, owner Chloe Francis-Oakley, said: “It has been a bit of a whirlwind the start of this year, it has all just happened so quickly.
“One of the things I have wanted to do for a long time is expand, the start of this year I just had this energy, this urge.”
Talking about joining Goodsheds, she said: “Goodsheds has really put the independent food scene on the map for Barry and I’ve been a huge fan since they opened, I just love the concept... you have just got the backing there of a great brand with Goodsheds.
“All the other vendors there are so friendly and everyone wants you to do well it is a lovely, lovely vibe.”
Cobbles Kitchen announced the news on its social media pages and received lots of support from customers.
Chloe said: “The support we have had and the positive response on the socials, I just couldn’t stop looking at my phone, it is so exciting.”
She also teased something new coming to the menu at Goodsheds, saying: “We have got something new which we are going to launch which I think is going to blow up! I don’t want to say too much, it is going to be big.”
Goodsheds is not the only place Cobbles Kitchen will be opening in 2024 as they will also be opening at Newport Market and want to open in Swansea and Cardiff by the end of the year.
