You’ve got the flowers she’s sure to love, chosen the card, and all that’s left is to bag the right bottle to toast mum with.

From mood-boosting bubbles to fresh whites, rosés and reds, these stylish labels are sure to bring a smile on Mother’s Day.

Specially Selected Fleurs D’Eau Sparkling Brut Rosé France, £7.99, Aldi in-store

Visually appealing with embossed glass, this is fragrant, offering hints of blossom and enticing summer fruit flavours with a fresh, harmonious finish. It’s delicious and over-delivers for the price point.

Remastered Sangiovese Wine 2022 Italy, £8.50, Tesco

We’re quite taken with this funky label that offers a lot more personality than your average bottle of sangiovese... and we think your mum will be just as smitten. Gorgeously scented, with waves of morello cherries and damson, sweet and sour cherries and softly spiced raspberry fruit add a touch of elegance.

Cupiolo Pinot Grigio Blush 2022, Italy, £10.75, Tesco

A super example of how you don’t need to head to Provence for a passport to pleasure... in the realms of rose, this blush is a beauty. Flirty and lots of fun, ripe juicy peaches with nectarine nuances unfold on the silky palate with gentle citrus notes lending plenty of freshness on the fragrant finish. Bellissima!

Wildflower Cuvee Blanc Reserva 2020, Cramele Recas, Banat Romania, £14.49, Adnams

An intriguing blend of chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and two local grapes, adventurous wine lovers will appreciate this fresh, fragrant and engaging white. With hints of white peach, stone fruits and honeydew melon, there’s lovely complexity of flavour on the palate with more melon and citrusy flavours making themselves known.

Mother’s Day Red Wine in Wooden Gift Box £20.99, Virgin Wines

A personalised gift box is just the ticket when you know your mum loves surprises. With lovely lavender fields on the label, this is a French malbec with violet aromas. It’s richly fruited and ripe with blackcurrant and blueberry flavours.

Ridgeview Fitzrovia Rose NV, Sussex England, £40

With the English wine scene booming, this is a wonderful example, with crushed berry fruits galore and glimpses of citrus and honey among the raspberry and redcurrant fruit. Balanced acidity and a touch of tart cherry on the lingering finish make this a joyous glass. Cheers!
