Form points to an Avon Breeze win

IT would not be a surprise if the once-raced Avon Breeze took the Maiden over five furlongs at Beverley, where good ground is forecast.

Richard Whitaker’s filly recovered and finished fourth, which was a creditable effort.

Elegant Girl will be backed (again) to retrieve recent losses, but Avon Valley doesn’t need to improve but surely will.

Mick Channon and his stable jockey Martin Harley have been doing well and more it is anticipated Sorella Bella will be suited by conditions of the Maiden Stakes over seven furlongs at Chester.

This is a long way for a juvenile and the 5lbs fillies’ allowance should weigh against eight rivals.

My calculation is 2lbs a length for this distance on good-to-soft ground.

Previously her only other success was over six at Hamilton.
