Warbs unfazed at Well revenge spur

- By CHRIS JACK

MARK WARBURTON insists he isn’t worried by how Motherwell will approach their Fir Park clash this afternoon as they bid for revenge over Rangers. The Steelmen came within minutes of a shock Scottish Cup win at Ibrox seven days ago before Kenny Miller hit a late brace to secure a fifth round berth for the Gers. Well boss Mark McGheeM was left s speechless after the game as he saw a famousa result slip th through his grasps in th the final stages of a co competitive affair. But Warburton is on only focused on how hi his side prepare as the Li Light Blues get set to re return to Premiership ac action this afternoon. He said: “We went th there earlier in the sea season, the pitch was in go good shape so hopefully it i is the same. We know wh what we face and they kn know what they face. ““That doesn’t impact us at all. Whatever Mark doe does or his staff does is irre irrelevant to us. Our point of view is about us being well prepared.

“Nobody likes to lose a game in that manner. They were one up with a few minutes to go and we scored two late goals. That is the nature of the game. Any actions from them won’t impact on us.

“It was a cup game, a one-off, and we spoke about them coming to Ibrox and a great playing surface and enjoying being free of the shackles from the league.

“From our point of view, we dominated possession but we weren’t incisive enough. But we got the result and rewards in the end so all credit to the players.”
