Former Scotland anda Rangers captain FergusonF admits theth Somerset Park fifthroundr showdown is huge forfo both his players and theth club.

Ferguson, whose side are five points adrift of theh play-offs in the fourthfo tier, said: “If we getg into the quarterfinals, that could keep us going for another season.

“That’s my all budget if we get through and get a big team. It’s a lot of money for us.

“We’re looking forward to it, Ayr are in the Championship and doing pretty well – they’ve got good players and a good manger.

“It’s a great test for us and a break from the league.

“We’ll go down there and give a good account of ourselves but the pressure is all on Ayr United.

“I think there will be a decent crowd as well but we’ve got a few guys that have experienced that before.

“It would be a good scalp for us, a Championship team.

“It’s a big game for us, there’s no denying that. But we’re not scared of them, we’re out to win.”
