Booing our Blues be TonofpressureonGers aheadoftoughCuptie

A LOT of people have looked at the Morton game and said that there could be a shock on the cards at Ibrox, but I don’t expect Rangers to be beaten on Sunday.

There has to be a reaction and the home crowd will demand a reaction. There has been a lot of criticism directed towards Rangers this week, and rightly so in many cases, so now they have to show what they are made of.

Morton are a good side, make no mistake about that. They are going for the play-offs in the Championship and they got to the semifinals of the Betfred Cup earlier in the season.

Jim Duffy (inset) will go to Ibrox and he will say to the players to keep it tight and to make sure they don’t give Rangers anything to build on. They will want to keep the home crowd quiet.

We know how Morton will approach it and we know from playing against them last season that they are capable of causing us problems.

Morton got another win at Raith Rovers this week and the focus will have been on Rangers ever since the whistle at Stark’s Park. They would have been back in working on their shape, getting in the right frame of mind and they will fancy their chances going to Ibrox.

When teams make it difficult for Rangers and they defend in numbers, we can find it tough to get the breakthrough.

When everyone is on song and we move the ball quickly, that is great. But when we are not, teams get men behind the ball and Rangers struggle to create.

We allow teams to re-organise. Morton are well drilled and that is all you have to be to stifle Rangers these days.

Rangers are the favourites and should go through to the quarterfinals. But they certainly have a job on their hands this weekend.
