GUESTS at the third annual Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch raised more than £10,000 for the social care charity.

More than 180 guests attended the event, which included a special appearance from Isobel Rutter and a performance by the Jersey Tones.

The event, which was held at the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Central Hotel, raised £12,000 to go towards the charity.

Speaking about the event, Isobel Rutter said: “I thoroughly enjoyed attending Quarriers Ladies’ Lunch and imparting some of my life learnings to an audience of so many wonderful women. I am proud to be part of a day which raises funds to ensure the charity can continue to support women reach their true potential.”

Commenting on the day, Alice Harper Quarriers chief executive, said: “Now in its third year, our Ladies’ Lunch is a staple in the Quarriers’ social calendar as it focuses on celebrating women.

“Every day Quarriers works with inspirational women who are facing challenges.

“These can be mums holding families together, women who have had a difficult start in life or those who are living with disabilities.

“Quarriers would be unable to continue to help these women without the generous support of our donors and attendees. On behalf of everyone at Quarriers we would like to thank our guests for making this another brilliant day.

“Special thanks must go to Isobel, she is both hilarious and inspirational and I hope guests took something away from the many topics she spoke about.”
