Glamorous ladies lunch raises £79k for charity
GLASGOW’S most glamorous ladies lunch raised a whopping £79,000 for charity.
Killer Heels & Cocktails – held at The Grand Central Hotel yesterday – raised the huge sum to further the fantastic work carried out by Action Medical Research.
This year, Rusk & Rusk were proud to sponsor the wonderful event, with company co-founder, Louise Rusk, chairing.
Over the past 14 years, the Killer Heels & Cocktails fundraiser has raised over £700,000 for Action Medical Research.
Louise said: “We have had a fantastic day, with superb auction prizes, lots of fun entertainment and importantly, a significant amount of money raised for an incredible cause.
“It’s been a glamorous affair, and I’m humbled by everyone’s generosity and proud of my first event as chair.”
From live DJs to glamorous showgirls, crooners and show tune specialists; this year’s Killer Heels & Cocktails event was packed with vibrant, lively entertainment.
Hosted by Heart FM’s Paul Harper, guests had antics in abundance with games and dancing being wholeheartedly encouraged.
The Jersey Tones sang classic hits from the blockbuster musical Jersey Boys, whilst The Brothers of Swing provided a stylish throwback to the heyday of big band crooning.
