Shops hit by city centre power cut
A ‘HIGHLY unusual’ power cut plunged parts of Glasgow City Centre into darkness this morning.
Up to 30 high-voltage Scottish Power customers, including shops and businesses at the top end of the city, were among those to have been affected.
A Scottish Power spokeswoman apologised to those affected and said: “The cut is due to two faults along the same stretch of cable in the Renfrew Street area, which is highly unusual.”
