IT firm brings 30newjobs

-

A GLASGOW-based company is to create 30 new and highlyskilled jobs at its head office.

Systal Technology Solutions, which specialises in IT, say that the new roles will be based in their Robroyston site.

The new jobs will be a part of the company’s growing incident management team, who work as specialist engineers supporting global organisations in managing technical problems and security breaches.

This team is expected to grow and generate the 30 jobs in the next two years.

Neil Nicolson, director of Systal, said: “The new incident management team will be an integral part of the operations centre and its expansion moving forward and we’re pleased to be a position that allows us to create highly skilled IT roles in the region.”

Systal provide support to some of the UK’s leading energy and mobile phone operators as well as holding partnerships with the likes of Microsoft.

Mr Nicolson also stressed the importance of developing jobs to keep up with everchanging business needs.

According to Systal, the newly-created roles represent an increasing demand for locallybased IT assistance.

Mr Nicolson said: “Efficient IT operations are one of the hallmarks of business continuity today.

“The trouble is, new technologies mean infrastructures are getting increasingly complicated and dynamic, and there’s the growing threat of cybercrime to contend with too.

“In turn, this means increasing demand for incident management teams with sophisticated skillsets, and a wealth of experience– and this can’t be easily delivered offshore.

“We’re really proud of our onshore operations centre and how it enables us to offer our customers really close partnerships and fantastic continuity of service.”
