Students’ seasonal inspiration
DESIGN students and graduates from the Glasgow School of Art have launched a pop-up shop at Princes Square selling limited edition gifts for Christmas.
It is the fourth year that former and current students have worked with the GSA shop to create one-off designs.
Among the designs was a Glasgow chess set, designed by Alex Duff, which is based on the Glasgow skyline and features a minature Finnieston Crane, Riverside Museum and Glasgow University tower. The board pattern is laser etched onto 9mm birch plywood.
Jemma Brown created a set of handcrafted gold and silver leaf ring stands and Corrie Grant designed coasters made from wild Scottish cherry tree.
