Escort is tagged for threats

- BY ASHLIE McANALLY

AN ESCORT who threatened to expose a client to his colleague in a bid to get £3000 has been given a community order.

Siobhan Wilson, 41, said she would phone the man’s work if he did not pay her the money.

The court heard she sent a series of texts messages to the client including some that were described as threatening.

AN ESCORT who threatened to expose that a client was using her services if he didn’t pay her £3,000 has been given a community order.

Siobhan Wilson, 41, met the man on an adult website where she advertised herself.

For almost two years, they saw each other “on an intermittent basis” when she would go with him to social events, stay in hotels and he would pay her for sex.

In July 2017 when he invited her to dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, she told him she was going to come to the hotel and “sort him out”.

She made various demands for cash for “loss of earnings” and told him she would phone his work and was going to go to his house.

The court heard messages were exchanged in the days after the Hilton invitation, including texts he considered to be threatening.

These included: “Might pop up, I might not, but it could be your stroke of luck or you could be unlucky, I told you it’s when I’m calm, run”.

And: “So you know I need the cash but I don’t care, no c **** don’t listen.”

When the client questioned the reason for the demands and tried to phone her, Wilson texted him saying: “Don’t keep calling you are wasting my time, I told you what the money was, loss of earnings and lucky I was not some greedy woman.”

He thought her reference to loss of earnings was in relation to a previous trip to Aberdeen and he was of the view he had already paid the agreed fee of £450.

She told him she wanted £1,000 that night and £2,000 “by Monday”.

Wilson, from Castlemilk, pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff court to attempting to extort £3,000 from the man in July 2017.

Sheriff Martin Jones QC gave her a community order with the condition she is supervised for 18 months, and a tag for six months for her to stay at her house between 7pm and 7am.
