Putting on the style at city’s museum for great causes
A UNIQUE clothing collection by a Scottish cloth maker and a Pakistani designer has been unveiled in Glasgow in the name of charity.
Harris Tweed Hebrides and Pakistan’s Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, have put together the designs for “Shah” to support the UK Association of Medical Aid to Pakistan.
The collection was shown for the first time at the charity’s annual Gala Fundraising Dinner at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the first time that the event had been staged outside of London.
More than 400 guests attended the evening, which was jointly raising money for the group and The Linda Norgrove Foundation, an Isle of Lewis-based charity which supports women’s and children’s projects in Afghanistan.
