Housing watchdog to investigate Glasgow City Council on homelessness

Why has it taken so long for the Scottish Housing Regulator to physically intervene? They have a history for letting things fester for far too long and ordinary people suffer for that. Why aren’t politicians asking this question? Real politicians obviously, not Glasgow councillors.

“Glasgow is feeling the effects of welfare reform particularly acutely and the number of individuals affected by poor mental health or drug addiction is far greater than any other part of the country”. Surely an effort has to be made to get to the bottom of why this is the case? If we want this negative cycle to stop we have to investigate what causes it. Instead of Glasgow University researching slavery and offering to pay reparations of £20 million, for things that had nothing to do with people alive today, they should instead care about the living and use their time more productively investigating the poor mental health and drug addiction of Glaswegians. Glasgow City Council is endorsing teaching children about slavery, committed by a tiny few wealthy men from hundreds of years ago. They want drug consumption instead of rehab and spend millions in cleaning bills for Govanhill for zero results. Thousands for personal taxis, knickers for their Provost, and paying the policing bill for non-stop no-result protests.

WHAT a terrible case this was to have to endure for that poor wee soul’s family.
