Police launch probe into unlicensed Glasgow bars and clubs

Social media, apps etc are making a mockery of legislation and licensing requirements. A bit like dial-a-bar when you wanted a carry-out at 2am.

Maybe if the established bars upped their game instead of charging a fortune for garbage atmos and drinks they wouldn’t moan about it. miguel sanchez

Forget murders and rapes, folk selling cans of tennents for 50p extra in a warehouse rave is where the real trouble lies. Stewart Boy

Anger over Xmas rubbish dumping at Darnley supermarket

I’d rather it was in and around recycling points like this than on the streets as it can be every year. The people who dumped it here could easily have dumped it on YOUR street and they didn’t, they went out their way to take it to a recycling point (although disrespectfully not in bins provided) but at least it’s there. There was also cardboard from the store in trollies next to it as well. It’s a busy time for everyone!

Glasgow is a filthy hovel. The amount of litter on the street, on grass verges and just about everywhere else is a disgrace. Yes, people are to blame but absolutely no effort is now being made by the council to clean up.

Stewie Griffin

Every week all over Glasgow there are overflowing recycling bins and bags of rubbish put next to them. When will our council take responsibility? We need more resources, more bins, more emptying of bins and people who brush pavements and streets.
