Sub Club risks permanent closure after failing to get on Government’s furlough scheme

There was an announceme­nt on Tuesday about £1.57 billion of funding now available to arts venues which the Sub Club would be eligible for. Money is also to be given to the Scottish Government to hand out.

The details: “Cultural and heritage organisati­ons are to be protected with the £1.57bn support package.

“Funding will also be provided to restart constructi­on work at cultural and heritage sites paused as a result of the pandemic.

“The future of Britain’s museums, galleries, theatres, independen­t cinemas, heritage sites and music venues will be protected with emergency grants and loans.”
