Cabbies crisis: 10pm curfew threatens to drive trade ‘ into ground’

The 10pm curfew is yet another example of the government’s singular approach to suppress Covid, to a very plural world.

You think the taxis are going to leave the country for work?

They will be disappointed they go to England as they have the same curfew.

Police break up ‘ street party’ on Buchanan Street after pubs shut early

They’ll never stop young people socialising. It’s what they do.

Edward Martin if

We’d all like to socialise right now but some of us have more sense and take this cursed virus more seriously.

Pete Andrews

Well done Police Scotland. Obviously the young ones don’t care about this pandemic and due to bars closing early they get upset.

If you think back years ago our pubs were open at 10.30am, closed 2.30pm and reopened 5pm to 10.30pm.

You didn’t get as much hassle in these reduced hours of opening. Now we have students out in large numbers, no social distancing even after the news saying that students’ accommodations have been affected by the virus. Yet some of these students are wanting to be in high- classed jobs. Who’s kidding who?
