Home carers’ fundraising aim

-

HOME care staff in the North of the city are planning a charity fundraiser once gatherings of more than six people are given the go- ahead.

Home Instead Senior Care Glasgow North Care came together as a team throughout the pandemic and hope to continue this collaboration by organising donating to those in need.

Management decided to give something back to their workers, who have kept the service safe since March with no sickness reported among staff or patients during the height of the pandemic, and shared this success with the Scottish Social Services Council ( SSSC).

Over the past three months the SSSC has published inspiring care stories during Covid- 19 and lockdown.

Here Care manager Megan Doris said: “We have amazing CAREGivers who have continued to provide support to our clients throughout this pandemic.

“We want to thank each and every one of them for the hard work and dedication. We had a few ideas and came up with this lovely pack which includes a handwritten thank you card, Ferrero Rocher sweets, hand cream and a wonderful handmade keyring which has a thank you and a rainbow on it.

“We spent a whole week at the end of May hand delivering them to our CAREGivers either at home or outside clients houses ( at a safe distance of course).

“Our CAREGivers have adapted to new ways of working, changed with policies and procedures and also thought of new ideas for our clients to keep in touch with family over the last 10 weeks.

“This is only a small thank you and we cannot wait until we can gather our CAREGivers together for a big thank you.”

We want to thank each and every one of them
