RATINGS Celtic

-

Scott Bain

6 Beaten by Declan Gallagher’s header, but ball zipped off slick surface so couldn’t be blamed. Handling sound otherwise.

Jeremie Frimpong

Was a livewire up the right until momentum halted by Devante Cole challenge. Played on but fears he may have picked up an injury.

Kristoffer Ajer

Back in the team and defended well, with two crucial interventions in the first half. Groin problem flared up again though and forced off.

Nir Bitton

6 Lost Gallagher for Motherwell goal but used the ball well and stood up to crosses that home side were throwing in.

Diego Laxalt

Two goal- line clearances at start of second half then last- gasp tackle prevented certain goal for Callum Lang. Vital contribution.

Scott Brown

Much more like it from the Celtic captain who rediscovered his old swagger.

Callum McGregor

Still not as influential as he can be after a below- par performance in midweek, but going back in right direction.

Ryan Christie

7 Played his part in Celtic’s first two goals and should have had at least one to his own name.

Tom Rogic

8 Another masterful show from the Australian. Another assist to his name and much more besides. Unplayable at times.

Mohamed Elyounoussi

Hat- trick hero answered his critics in fine style. Good positioning for first two and then great header for third.

Albian Ajeti

7 Held the ball up well and put in a decent shift for the cause.

SUBSTITUTES Hatem Elhamed

( for Frimpong, 70) Provided great cross for Elyounoussi’s third.

( for Ajeti, 71) Nice assist as Olivier Ntcham added a fourth for Celtic.

4 ( for Ajer, 78) Was solid enough after stepping into the defence.
