Commitments must be made by councillors in Glasgow
WITH regards to the elections next week, I’m in a quandary because for years councillors have been promising this and that and once in office they just turn around and say it’s getting dealt with or I’ll bring it up at the next meeting.
This can be for roads, rubbish, housing issues etc...yes some do get done and they’re not slow in publishing their achievement.
Councillors should make commitments instead of promises which can be broken.

MOST people can see the cleansing issue has got out of control and Glasgow is an absolute eyesore as a result.
However, some potholes are now huge trenches and I have never seen it as bad.
There is a general council rule of thumb, get cleaning and roads sorted and you will do well but get those two key policies wrong and you are in big trouble!

GLASGOW’S streets are a disgrace. I don’t believe a word that comes out of the council leader’s mouth.
All she did in the hustings debate was blame the previous administration.
Whichever council takes control, it has to do something about the state of our city centre.
Tourists must wish they had never arrived when they turn up in Glasgow.
I feel embarrassed for any visitor to the city. The first impression you get when you come out of Central Station is beggars lining the street.

I HAVE a notice on my outside letterbox which says no flyers, no leaflets, no junk mail etc, but still these people who are delivering propaganda leaflets for the politicians still post their junk through my door, in fact about nine or 10 days ago an SNP activist posted junk through my door and then proceeded to walk past my living room window ( I live in a small bungalow).
I went outside and politely informed him that, that was not a footpath, his response was “aye, whatever”. I then informed him that I would contact the SNP and his response was again, “aye, whatever”.
Now, let me tell all these politicians ever since I have been eligible to vote (1973), I have never missed a vote, but I can tell you this I have still not made up my mind whether to vote for any of these undemocratic taxpayer money-wasting buffoons.
