KRIS BOYD

Former Rangers striker and Sky Sports pundit

KRIS BOYD Insists that Rangers lost their league title after Christmas and the most important aspect of yesterday’s draw was leaving the East End of Glasgow unscathed by injury ahead of the second leg in their Europa League semi-final.

He told Sky Sports: “Thursday is a massive game and the title was over anyway for Rangers. The most important thing was coming here and not getting beat. It was vital to leave with no injuries and hopefully get Aaron Ramsey and Kemar Roofe back as that will give them a better opportunity of overturning that 1-0 first leg deficit.”

Former Celtic player and Sky Sports commentator on the bottle throwing

“THAT is absolutely outrageous, to see broken bottles on the field of play which can affect the referee, the players, anyone that it’s aimed at. It’s outrageous.

“It’s one thing to demonstrate, as we saw a couple of weeks ago, to protest using tennis balls, toilet paper – and we’d even get issues with that. But broken bottles? It beggars belief.

“You’re trying to sell this game everywhere, our showpiece occasion? [These are] shameful scenes, shameful that anyone would choose to throw anything on to the pitch, never mind a broken bottle.”

JOHN HARTSON

Former Celtic striker and pundit on Twitter

“COULD have won , should have won.. could have lost ... really important we didn’t lose today...let’s make it officially 10 titles in the last 11 years next week or even in the next 2/3 weeks.

NEIL McCANN

Former Rangers player to the BBC “THE game should have been out of sight for Celtic with the chances they had, let’s be honest about it, but when it went on Rangers’ character and levels of fitness began to shine through.

“I don’t know where they drag that from. There was suggestions before the game, that they might surrender this game or give it up and look towards Thursday.”
