HOW FANS CAN GET TO SEVILLE FOR UNDER £200
Travelling to final on a budget
WITH Rangers making it through to the Europa League final, there’s suddenly about half of Glasgow looking to book last-minute trips to Seville.
The Spanish city hosted Celtic for the Uefa Cup final in 2003 and there’s set to be a repeat after Gio van Bronckhorst’s side defeated RB Leipzig to reach the showpiece game.
They’ll take on Eintracht Frankfurt, who famously took over Camp Nou as their side defeated Barcelona, so there’s sure to be a huge presence in the city.
Unfortunately that means the price of flights has gone through the roof, with a direct flight from Glasgow to Seville well over £700.
Luckily we’re a thrifty lot here at the Glasgow Times, so we’ve put together some alternatives for Rangers fans dreaming of being there to potentially see James Tavernier lift the trophy.
All prices are for getting there only – because that’s the important bit – and you’ll need to factor in accommodation but we reckon we can get you there on a budget.

Edinburgh to Faro
This one still isn’t cheap, but it’s pretty direct.
A 6.45am flight on Monday, May 16 from Edinburgh to Faro gets you to Portugal for 9.55am and will set you back £354.
From there there’s a 12.15pm bus from the airport which gets you to Seville in three hours for around £17.

Glasgow-Gatwick-BilbaoSeville
Okay, it may not be very environmentally conscious – and it’s a long trip – but it’ll save a lot of money.
For this one you want to get the 6.20am EasyJet flight from Glasgow to Gatwick on Monday, May 16.
From there, connect to the 10.10am Vueling fight to Bilbao in Northern Spain.
Another Vueling flight from there, the 2.05pm Bilbao to Seville gets you to the city by late afternoon for well under £200. Total cost: £168
Glasgow-Luton-Lisbon-Seville
You might need an overnight in Lisbon here – but it could be worse, right?
Get the 7.05am EasyJet flight from Glasgow to Luton. You’ll have a bit of a wait there but you can connect in airport for the 2.45pm to Lisbon.
Combined that will cost you £100, and you’ll be in Lisbon just after 5.30pm.
From there you can either get an overnight bus to Seville, about seven hours, or take one the next day.
If you decided to get the night bus it’s £30.

Prestwick-Tenerife-LisbonSeville
If you can get an extra day away from work and family responsibilities you can get to Seville for under £100.
Leave early on Sunday morning on the 6.10am Ryanair flight from Prestwick to South Tenerife.
Connect in the airport for a 1pm TAP Air flight to Lisbon. Those flights combined will cost you £81.
From there it’s just a matter of hopping on the 4.10pm bus to Seville, which will cost you £13.40, and you can be having a sangria in the square by dinner time. Spanish dinner time, granted. Total cost: £94.40
Edinburgh-Bordeaux-MadridSeville
Can’t get the Monday off? We’ve got some options leaving on Tuesday too.
If you want to sample some terrific wine en route then this could be the option for you.
Get the 11.40am Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Bordeaux, where you’ll have a bit of time to sample the local tipple.
Then at 10pm get another Ryanair flight from there to Madrid.
That’ll set you back £54 in total, and you’ll have to find somewhere to stay in Madrid – or stay out all night.
There’s a 9.05am train from Madrid to Seville for £64.78 which will get you in on the day of the game.

Edinburgh-Bergamo-MilanMadrid-Seville
Another Tuesday departure option takes you on a whistlestop tour of some great European cities.
It starts with a 9am flight from Edinburgh to Bergamo. It’s direct and will cost you about £35.
From there get a shuttle to the train station in Bergamo, then jump on a Trenord service to Milano Centrale for £4.80.
From surely the grandest station anywhere in the world, there are regular trains direct to Malpensa airport.
Take some time in Bergamo or Milan. Just make sure you get there for the AirEurope 6.15pm flight from Malpensa to Madrid.
From there it’s the same train to Seville.
