Much- loved ladies’ lunch returns after three years

-

A MUCH- LOVED charity ladies’ lunch will return to Glasgow after three years.

Fizz and Fabulous Lunch is back for a fifth time with the aim of selling 400 tickets and raising £ 40,000 for children’s charity NSPCC Scotland, helping to protect children from abuse and neglect.

It will be held at the Radisson Blu hotel tomorrow at 11.30am.

Janette McAllister, chair of the committee, said: “After attending the Ladies Lunch five years ago, I knew I wanted to get involved and have been on the committee ever since. It’s always a great day and has grown over the years.

“We’ve really missed it and we’re thrilled to be back with what promises to be our biggest and best event yet.

“Our special Christmas market, where you can treat yourself to some luxurious goodies or maybe get some lovely gifts for your friends and family, will be open right through the event.

“We’ll also have a tombola and a posh bottle tombola for you to try your luck too.” Guests will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival, followed by entertainment from the Rock Choir and a three- course lunch, coffee and tablet.

The afternoon will bring fun and games, a live auction and a silent auction offering prizes, before Radio Clyde’s Ali Wright gets the crowd dancing with tunes from across the decades.

During the event, NSPCC Scotland speakers will share stories of the vital work they do to both prevent abuse and support neglected children.

Ms McAllister added: “Everyone should want to make sure that children are kept safe from abuse and neglect, that’s why we raise the funds each year for NSPCC Scotland to give children a better future.”
