Bike sheds idea will just waste more cash

- Tracy Lynn Symington

GLASGOW City Council has announced more bicycle sheds to be plonked in streets including at least 12 in Shawlands.

I personally believe no consultation has taken place and they will be a magnet for local neds to vandalise. This is another money wasting idea.

THE speech from FIFA’s chairperson Infantino was shocking when he says the west should apologise to the Arabs and Africans for the next 3000 years for their treatment.

If he knew his history of Africa and the Middle East he would have known that these countries were involved in the taking of people as slaves and mistreating and selling millions of them long before the west was involved. If you read the last sentence of his speech he says ‘ I feel very, very rich today’ – that’s what you get when you are in charge of a corrupt FIFA.

Readers were split over the sacking of Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, here is what they had to say...

IT was on the cards, hard to believe that he took us to the Europa final six months ago.

Gio has paid the price for failures in the SPL – that’s the bottom line, but what about Ross Wilson and the so- called player transfer model that failed miserably?

Players not sold when their stock was high, players signed who are not up to standard, players signed that were not fit or were susceptible to injuries, players allowed to run contracts down.

Ross Wilson has to accept his role in the six months collapse with the first team squad management. Corstorphine

I SUPPORT Celtic but even I don’t agree with this. They haven’t really given him a chance, it’s the players that need a good talking to!

Gutted for him, the board have used him as a scapegoat.

At least Gio didn’t disappear on the sly like the last guy...

I wish Gio every success, so much so that one day the Rangers board are greeting because he is doing so well as a manager.

HE doesn’t become a bad manager overnight. I totally blame the board and Ross Wilson for the shambles that is the out of contract situation and the summer signing disaster.

GVB had no influence over this.

He was committed to the club unlike some of the imposters wearing the famous jersey.

Scandalous decision.
