We all need to make an effort to clean up city

-

IAGREE with Bill Love ( Glasgow Times, Tuesday) about sun- drenched Benidorm. It has its critics but having been there on holiday loads of times the thing I like best is that it’s absolutely spotless, like most European resorts.

There’s not a lot we can do about the continuous rainy weather here but surely we could all make more of an effort to clean the place up and have a decent environment.

I READ in a local form that patients are being charged extortionate prices for dental Hygienist treatment…. between £ 35 to £ 100.

Dentist are now asking patients to take out a dental plan paying monthly, I have also been informed that some dentists are not taking NHS patients now for treatment, what’s next? Paying at the doctor’s surgery or even at A& E for treatment?

NICOLA STURGEON says if the SNP gets 51% of the votes at the next election it does not mean everybody wants independence – that’s not always true.

You will still have a divided country which would not bode well for the future.

If the SNP believe in a 51% majority vote, why do SNP members need a 60% vote to change any rules in the SNP’s constitution?

I HAVE to laugh when I read about ‘ affordable’ homes being built. They are not affordable homes.

In my view, they are mostly free housing association properties for people who refuse to work. Why should they be given them when they stay at home and scrounge? Elizabeth O’Leary

I AGREE with recent letters about the state of the roads in and around Glasgow.

They are shocking. Every bus route seems to be affected by roadworks.
