Readers are praised for kind donations to help man avoid being evicted

-

READERS had their say after a man’s eviction notice was cancelled following generous donations.

Very well done to the caring people of Glasgow.

James McGuigan

Well done to all the generous people who support each other, but really, in these times, it is disgusting that it has to happen.

Shame on the powers that be for allowing this to happen.

Lynne Donoghue

Well done Glasgow.

Willie N Yvonne Mclennan

Well done to the people of Glasgow! You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Shona Yeats

Little bit of kindness can do big things. Well done Glasgow. Karen Henry

Well done, there are kind people everywhere.

Janet Spinilli

Well done Glasgow. Mary Wright

WE asked readers on our Facebook page how easy have they found it to arrange a GP appointment.

So far, we have been really lucky and always got an appointment or at the very least a telephone consultation. I know services are stretched and they’re doing their best. Thank you Kittoch Medical in East Kilbride.

Natalie Mercer

I have found it easy with the surgery I use, even at the start and middle of pandemic, but my

mum has found it impossible to get one. It depends on the surgery I think.

Donna O’Reilly

It’s an absolute shambles. Having to call at 8am to get an appointment only to be placed in a queue on hold that can be anywhere between position one and 1000 – for anything up to an hour and longer. And then to be told there’s no more appointments and to try again tomorrow.

Lee Smith

We have to call at 8.30am for an appointment. You call at that time and there’s no appointments.

So, if you’re lucky you’ll get a phone call back from the doctor, and they are usually calling you from home.

Jackie McNeill

My GP surgery is immensely good.

If it’s an emergency I get an appointment the next day. If not, it is a week’s wait. My surgery is Cardonald medical centre. Lorraine Buchanan

It’s terrible. I waited four days to get an appointment for my son. They don’t even see you now. Ann Porter

It’s good, although we are quicker driving down to the surgery as phone lines are too busy.

Kevan N Wright

No problems with our surgery at Gilbertfield Medical Centre in Ruchazie.

Patricia Gould

Our surgery at Peel View in Kirkintilloch has been great. Natalie Watson

Aye, if you can get past the receptionist that tells you to go to the chemist instead.

Fiona McGarvey

Never had a problem. I cannot fault any of the two practices I’ve been with over the last 10 years. Sam Hutchy

It’s unreal trying to get an appointment.
