RESIDENTS barricading themselves in the Wyndford flats in protest against demolition are saying they should be listed as they are iconic...
Well in my mind as others, they have become an eyesore and are well past their time.
Just start knocking them down with them in them and you will see this bunch of squatters flee, just attention seekers.

WHY does the media seem to highlight the support for a minority group who are occupying the Wyndford flats, some who do not even live in the area.

IN the UK a 16- year- old is considered too young to vote, buy alcohol, gamble or fight in a war.
But in Nicola Sturgeon’s Scotland they can change their sex.
Sadly, despite being presented with sensible amendments the Scottish Government decided to push forward with this legislation, why?
Did she not consult her Lord Advocate about another conflict with Westminster?
I think she did, to deliberately push forward another spurious case of Westminster acting against the will of the Scottish people.
Shame on her and her cohorts. Jim Gilmour
I HAVE read with interest your article on the safe zones at schools.
I do not live in any of the districts you have mentioned but I do live in a street with a school that appears to be part of the scheme.
If this street is anything to go by then I believe more thought is required as the measures I am afraid are only worsening the situation.
It appears the road they have chosen to ban the cars from would be better used as a “safe zone”!
As it has little or no homes on it, consequently forcing the traffic to use the occupied street, parking cars half on and half off of the pavement, sharing the space with children playing football, on their bicycles, and generally doing what children do, play.
This does not seem to me to be something that has been thought through anywhere near enough!
