We will never have good players if we lock pitches up...

-

GLASGOW City Council continue to prove themselves a disgrace! Not only have these kids had to endure more than two years of lockdowns, now they have their football park locked up.

Very poor and thoughtless decision making by GCC once again.

IN Inverclyde the community had three massive pitches that were free and everyone used them, then they built schools there and now if the kids want to use the school pitch after school they have to go in through a cat flap, how disgusting and degrading.

Time the parents started standing up to these crooks in power, bullying and robbing the people because they can.

SAME happened in Townhead and Milton ( and probably lots of other places).

After 4.30pm the pitches at the local schools are used by people from outwith the communities who pay for the privilege to play there.

Local kids losing out.

Catriona Ward

THERE are lots of pitches where kids used to play that are now locked.

These asset transfers often locking kids out of somewhere to play for sport.

PAIR of bolt cutters go through that fence very easily.

All we ever hear is complaints about how Scotland doesn’t qualify for tournaments till last Euros and even then we were poor, but it’s no wonder we weren’t competing with other nations when kids can’t even play on proper pitches without some rich clown trying to profit from it.

Then the same people will complain all kids do is sit on computers etc and don’t go out.

Stop pricing children out of our national game.

Ciaran Rossini

THE children have nowhere to play these days.

As a child in the 60s I had many swing parks to play in and there was a wee council guy there to make sure we were all okay, or we played in the street or the backyards.

Can’t do that now as people will complain.
