‘ Incredible opportunity’: Pupils treated to golf day

-

MORE than 700 children across Glasgow and South Lanarkshire teed off during a free golf session this week.

Youngsters were given complimentary access to Topgolf Glasgow as they geared up for the spring half term.

The high- tech sports entertainment venue welcomed pupils from across the city and Rutherglen to enjoy the sessions, providing a dose of end- ofterm fun for kids aged five to eight as the Easter holidays approach.

Among the schools that participated was Rutherglen’s Burgh Primary School.

Miss Kinloch, acting principal teacher at the school, said: “This has been an incredible opportunity for our students.

“I have a feeling they’ll be talking about this for a long time yet, and judging by how much they all enjoyed themselves, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were at Topgolf all Easter long.”

Simon Green, director of operations at Topgolf Glasgow, described the week as “a blast.”

He said: “We hope this has kickedoff the kid’s Easter holidays in a memorable way for everyone involved.

“We love playing an active role in our communities and this is a way of truly making connections with our neighbours and becoming further embedded into the fabric of Glasgow, Rutherglen, and South Lanarkshire.”

Over the school break, Topgolf Glasgow opens from 10am on weekdays and 9am weekends, offering high- tech games and challenges in

climate- controlled bays on one of their three stories.

On Easter Sunday, March 31, visitors can also look forward to special treats and half- price gameplay every Tuesday.

The leisure centre is also working with charity partner Healthy n Happy to support vulnerable individuals in Rutherglen and Cambuslang by offering fun and

purposeful activities to aid their mental and physical health.
