ANTICIPATION is building as a luxury hotel reveals details about a Michelin star chef ’ s plans for a restaurant that will offer live entertainment every night of the week.

Crossbasket Castle in East Kilbride is undergoing a £ 15 million expansion after it was saved from ruin back in 2011 by owners Steve and Alison Timoney.

As previously reported by the Glasgow Times, the expansion will create a 40- bedroom hotel, a destination restaurant, two five- bedroom eco- friendly lodges and a spa spread over two secluded lodges.

The luxury hotel has now revealed plans for live music and entertainment within its restaurant.

Michelin star chef Michel Roux Jr has been with the hotel since it opened its doors in 2016 and will oversee the new restaurant and cocktail bar.

The former MasterChef: The Professionals judge, will oversee the newly named Trocadero’s and says it will be the “talk of the town”.

Due to open in August, the restaurant promises to transport guests to the dawn of a new golden era where top established and emerging artists and musicians from across Scotland and further afield will provide nightly entertainment.

Michel said: “Trocadero’s is going to be the talk of the town and the most iconic venue in Scotland. Fabulous, delicious food, great entertainment and somewhere people will want to keep coming back to time and time again.”

Trocadero’s was a popular 1950s dance hall in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire.

The entrepreneurial and philanthropic owners, who describe Crossbasket Castle as a no- expense-spared passion project, said Trocadero’s will bring a unique offering to Scotland.
