A DRUG dealer was caught in a £ 800,000 bust at his home.

John Forrest, 26, was snared with ketamine and cannabis at the property in Paisley, Renfrewshire on July 6, 2022.

The man’s flat was raided by police and a blue bag of ketamine was found in the kitchen.

Scales with traces of ketamine and benzocaine were also recovered from the worktop.

The High Court in Glasgow was told further bags of ketamine were located in the wardrobe of one bedroom and a cardboard box.

Prosecutor Alexander Sutherland said: “A total of 19,179.35 grams of ketamine was recovered.”

Officers went on to find cannabis in the second bedroom inside five vacuum packs in a wardrobe.

Mr Sutherland added: “A total of 5061.65 grams of cannabis was recovered.

“The amount of ketamine and cannabis recovered was

excessive for personal use.”

It was stated that the total value of ketamine if subdivided had the potential to reach approximately £ 767,160.

The cannabis meantime could realise £ 50,620.

Text messages were also found which showed Forrest’s role in the supply of cannabis and ketamine between March and July 2022.

Forrest referred to cannabis as “bush” and ketamine was substituted by “ket”, “k” or “kets”.

Forrest pleaded guilty yesterday to being concerned in the supply of ketamine and cannabis.

It was revealed that Forrest - an expecting dad of two - has one previous conviction relating to car insurance.

Forrest has since resigned from his job role at Swissport due to the court case.

Sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month by judge Lord Mulholland, who remanded Forrest in custody.
